Vice President of Government Relations

Storme Street is the Vice President of Government Relations at the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), where she leads the policy and government relations department and focuses on issue areas including tax and economic policy and international business issues. She also manages EIA's initiative on global competitiveness and innovation, "The Technology Industry at an Innovation Crossroads." Ms. Street is an active member of the Tax Coalition, a professional organization for women in tax policy, and Women in Government Relations.

EIA is the leading trade association for the electronics and information & communications technology (ICT) industries. The Alliance, headquartered in Arlington, Va., comprises nearly 1,300 member companies whose products and services range from the smallest electronic components to the most complex systems used by defense, space and industry, including the full range of consumer electronic products and telecommunications equipment.

Ms. Street came to EIA in March 2002 after a number of years in financial and technology journalism, most recently covering the U.S. software sector and federal technology policy for financial wire service BridgeNews, which was acquired by Dow Jones in 2001. Previously, she served as an editor at investment analysis website IDEAadvisor.com; the Financial Times Group in London; and Baskerville Communications, a British business publisher. Immediately prior to joining EIA, Ms. Street served as a Congressional fellow for a leadership office on Capitol Hill.

After growing up around the globe as an Air Force brat, Ms. Street earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Following graduation, she spent time traveling in Europe and working in the UK practice of Arthur Andersen. She is currently an MBA candidate at George Mason University in Virginia.
