EIA Promotes Storme Street and Rick Goss to Vice Presidents

Today, the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) announced the promotions of Storme Street to Vice President of Government Relations and Rick Goss to Vice President of Environment Affairs.

"Throughout their tenure at EIA, Storme and Rick have made substantive contributions to the association and our membership," said EIA President and CEO Dave McCurdy. "They have been an integral part of EIA's past success. This promotion recognizes the key leadership roles both already play within EIA." As Vice President of Government Relations, Ms. Street will continue leading EIA's government affairs division. In addition to managing EIA's overall policy portfolio, her areas of focus will be tax and economic policy and international businesses issues – along with managing EIA's competitiveness and innovation initiative. In 2004, Ms. Street, along with Mr. McCurdy, authored EIA's policy playbook on global competitiveness, The Technology Industry at an Innovation Crossroads. Prior to joining EIA in 2001, Ms. Street was a Congressional fellow on Capitol Hill. She also spent several years working as a journalist covering both the financial and technology industries. Ms. Street is active in both Women in Government Relations and the Tax Coalition. Ms. Street holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and is currently an MBA candidate at George Mason University in Virginia.

As Vice President of Environmental Affairs, Mr. Goss will continue overseeing the Environmental Issues Council (EIC), a division of EIA and the environmental voice of the technology industry. Under Mr. Goss EIC will continue leading the electronics industry on issues including electronic recycling, materials restrictions, environmental purchasing, energy efficiency and product labeling. Mr. Goss's work has included testifying before Congress and in various state venues, and working with international, federal and state environmental regulators. Prior to joining EIA, Mr. Goss was Senior Project Manager with DecisionQuest – Environmental Issues Management in Washington, D.C. where he served as regulatory and public affairs advisor helping build coalitions among government agencies and industry to promote solutions to environmental concerns. Prior to coming to Washington, D.C., Mr. Goss was the Legislative Director for New York State Assemblyman Samuel Colman. Mr. Goss holds an M.S. in Environmental Management and Policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rochester (NY).
