In this newly created position, Susan will be responsible for leading EIA's legislative and regulatory agenda in the area of federal information and communications technology (ICT) acquisition policy.
"As more and more of our member companies are entering the federal government marketplace and considering a variety of federal contracting opportunities, it is increasingly important for EIA to play a role in shaping the policies that govern that market," said EIA President & CEO Dave McCurdy. "Susan brings to EIA a wealth of knowledge and expertise in federal acquisitions policy arena, and all of our sector partners will benefit greatly from her experience."
Susan comes to EIA from SAP America Inc., where she served as the Chief Compliance Officer for SAP Public Services. While at SAP, Susan also focused on public policy issues related to federal government procurement, including lobbying, compliance and ethics policies. Prior to SAP, Susan spent six years with AT&T, most recently as the Director of Government Compliance and Business Ethics. Susan has also held positions with the National Security Industrial Association as Vice President of Government Affairs and the Aerospace Industries Association as a procurement policy lobbyist. While at NSIA, Susan founded and chaired the multi-association Acquisition Reform Working Group (ARWG), which is still an active force in acquisition policy.
Susan is a graduate of Bradford College in Bradford, Mass., and she resides in Washington, D.C.
