EIA Statement on Creation of U.S.-China Strategic Economic Dialogue
Dave McCurdy, President & CEO of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), today made the following statement on the Administration's announcement that it will develop a Strategic Economic Dialogue with China:
"There is no more important geo-economic 21st century relationship than that between the U.S. and China, and sincere and productive engagement at the highest level of government is essential. EIA welcomes the creation of a Strategic Economic Dialogue as an addition to other bilateral forums for U.S.-Sino discussions, and we appreciate the focus Secretary Paulson has put on fostering strong, long-term relations and open markets. We agree with the Administration that the benefits of our growing economic relationship with China must be fairly shared by those in both countries; we all win in an environment grounded in fair competition and the pursuit of innovation."
