WASHINGTON, D.C. - Douglas S. Wiley will step down from his post as Senior Vice President of Government Relations at the Electronic Industries Alliance in early May, EIA announced Thursday.
Since taking the job in 2003, Mr. Wiley has led the government relations team of the largest high-tech trade association in Washington, D.C. He worked as a tireless advocate for a wide range of issues including innovation, U.S. competitiveness, international trade, telecommunications and the environment.
"Over the past three years, we have benefited immensely from Doug's experience," says EIA President Dave McCurdy. "His knowledge of Congress, executive agencies and technology policy is excellent. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
"I am deeply grateful for having had the opportunity to support EIA's mission of promoting innovation and international competitiveness and advocating sound public policies on behalf of EIA's world-leading technology companies. I am honored to have represented them for the past three years at EIA," adds Mr. Wiley.
"As with any vibrant organization, the departure of one of the senior members of our team opens a succession process, and we have begun to look ahead," says Mr. McCurdy. "We look forward to maintaining EIA's strong policy group."
Mr. Wiley will be joining the National Association of Broadcasters on May 15.
