Arlington, Va. - Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) President & CEO Dave McCurdy issued the following statement today in reaction to the U.S. Senate's recent confirmation of Robert Cresanti as Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology:
"The Electronic Industries Alliance is pleased that the U.S Senate has confirmed Robert Cresanti as Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology. Mr. Cresanti has a strong background on technology issues in the private sector and experience gained from his previous public service as Staff Director for the Senate Special Committee on the Year 2000 Technology Problem and as Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Financial Services and Technology for the Senate Banking Committee. His expertise will provide the Commerce Department with a great deal of leadership.
